When supporting clinical trial involving very young participants (including those with specific accessibility needs), we pay special care to ensure they aren't overlooked in the decision-making process. Which is why when we were asked to produce a suite of materials for a clinical trial involving young autistic children, we were determined to make our content as engaging as possible to help present the study to them in way that would ensure they felt part of the process too. Taking into account their needs, we developed a bold but simple pair of characters and set of environments that would serve to offer information in a non-overwhelming manner. When paired with a friendly narrator and playful music the result was a short film that would not only offer vital information to parents, but also captivate our young audience too.
